Jewellery scholarships on offer from SNAG

The Society of North American Goldsmiths[2] (SNAG) is inviting its members to apply for its annual offering of educational scholarships. The organization will give out three student scholarships (including one intended for an undergraduate student specifically) and three for emerging and mid-career artists. All student applicants should be enrolled in jewellery or metals programs.

The student scholarships are intended to be used for tuition, while the emerging artists’ winnings are to be used for a workshop of the winner’s choice. Both scholarships offer three prizes in the amounts of US$2000, US$1500, and US$1000. All winners will receive a year’s free membership with SNAG, and will be expected to write a report outlining the outcome of the scholarship.

Those interested in applying should send a resumé, artist statement, and references to SNAG by April 27. Applicants are also required to include five to eight images representing at least four completed pieces, along with an image list.
