This June, industry professionals will be heading to Las Vegas, Nev., for the 2017 Jewelers for Children (JFC) annual Facets of Hope event where Charles Stanley of Forevermark and Yancy Weinrich of JCK Events, Luxury and JIS have been named as guests of honour.
“I can think of no two better people to honour,” says JFC Chairman, Dennis Ulrich. “Both play such major roles in the industry and their organizations have been major supporters of our cause since we began.”
Stanley, now president of Forevermark US, Inc., first joined De Beers in 1994 before taking the position of vice-president of merchandising and operations in 2004 at Harry Winston. He returned to De Beers in 2010 to help launch the Forevermark business brand in North America as vice-president. Stanley also is a board member of the Jewelers’ Vigilance Committee and Jewelers for Children.
With more than 20 years of experience in the industry, Weinrich first began her career with the American Gem Society and moved on to the role of vice-president of business development at Manufacturing Jewelers &Suppliers of America (MJSA). Currently, she is a much sought-after industry speaker and works with Reed Exhibitions and JCK Events. Weinrich’s ongoing industry support and involvement have won her many accolades and includes several notable roles including international past president of the Women’s Jewelry Association (WJA). She is also a former member of the board of directors for the JFC. Today, she serves on the Boards of the Diamond Empowerment Fund (DEF), the American Gem Society, and the 24KT Club of New York City.
Since its founding in 1999, JFC has been committed to helping children in need and, with the generosity of jewellery industry professionals, retailers, manufacturers, and consumers, have donated more than $51 million to various charitable partner organizations like St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital, the Elizabeth Glaser Pediatric AIDS Foundation, Make-A-Wish America, Make-A-Wish International, Santa-America Fund, and the National CASA Association.
