Swarovski has opted to promote from within with the appointment of its new general manager of North America.
Kolja Kiofsky has been taken on the role, following more than 13 years of service with the Austrian jewellery and crystal company.
Kiofsky brings a wealth of international management experience to the position. After starting his career in the automotive industry at Porsche, he joined Swarovski in 2010 as head of marketing development at the brand’s Zurich headquarters. He also served as global senior vice-president for customer experience and omnichannel management, where he was responsible for all points of purchase.
In his new role, based in New York City, Kiofsky’s most important task will be to drive profitable growth in Swarovski’s North American market, the company says. Key to this is the opening of a new flagship store in Manhattan this November, as well as the U.S.-wide rollout of the brand’s laboratory-grown diamond fine jewellery collection.
“I am honoured to continue my tenure at Swarovski leading the North America team,” Kiofsky says. “We see [American] and Canadian consumers responding very well to our brand proposition. This region offers fantastic growth opportunities and I’m confident we will continue to strengthen the company’s position as one of the world’s premier jewellery and accessory brands.”
