An 18-karat gold 1924 Colombian cinco peso coin (left) was among several pieces of jewellery stolen from a north Toronto home. A custom-made diamond pendant in 18-karat white gold diamond (right) was also taken. It features five 18-karat white gold and diamond strands measuring 41 cm with scattered bezel-set diamonds inset along the chains. The pendant has 17 round brilliant-cut diamonds (3.52 carats) and a 4.2-carat centre diamond.

An historic coin pendant and a diamond-encrusted necklace are two of several pieces stolen from a north Toronto home earlier this month.

Toronto police say millions in jewellery were taken from the Bayview Ave. and York Mills Rd. area home by thieves in the early-morning heist, along with the secret wall-mounted safe they were stored in. The homeowner was out of town at the time.

Investigators have not released the exact figure on the value of the jewels. They believe the thieves are likely to try and sell the items.

Anyone with information is asked to contact police at 416-808-3206 or Crime Stoppers at 416-222-TIPS.
