NAJA puts out call for appraisal scholarship

Calling all gemmology students with an eye on appraising as a career.

The National Association of Jewelry Appraisers (NAJA) is now taking applications for its ACE It Appraisal Conference Scholarship.

The award gives one student the chance to network with appraisal professionals at the 41st Annual ACE It Winter Educational Conference to be held Feb. 2 to 3 in Tucson during the gem shows.

The scholarship covers the conference fee only. Applicants must submit a resume, photo, and an essay on why he or she wants to become a gems and jewellery appraiser. Those with any of the following accreditations can apply: GIA, FGA, FGAA, FGG, FCGmA, and RGA.

To obtain an application, visit www.najaappraisers.com or fax a request to (718) 997-9057. The deadline to submit an application is Nov. 1. The NAJA Scholarship Advisory Board will announce the winner on Dec. 1.
