A jewellery store in Pembroke, Ont., was the scene of a brazen break-in during the early hours of Nov. 13. The thieves made off with a significant haul before police arrived.
The incident unfolded around 1 a.m. when an alarm was triggered, alerting authorities. Upon arrival, officers found clear signs of forced entry, and it was quickly apparent that many items had been stolen, but the culprits had already escaped, possibly in a waiting vehicle. A search of the area, assisted by canine units, turned up some of the stolen pieces.
Investigators are currently looking for three suspects. One was spotted wearing a red jacket with a large front pouch, layered with a blue hoodie, along with black pants and white shoes. The second suspect wore a blue jacket, blue jeans, and black shoes, while the third was dressed in a white jacket with a distinctive black strip around the waist and sleeves, paired with a black balaclava.
The investigation is ongoing. In the meantime, police are appealing to anyone in the area who might have dash cam or security footage from around midnight to 2 a.m. to come forward.
