Ontario robbery sees two arrests

Two men have been arrested in connection with a Waterloo jewellery store robbery.

Two men have been arrested in connection with a jewellery store robbery at Conestoga Mall in Waterloo, Ont.

The incident took place on Jan. 11 at approximately 6:40 p.m. Waterloo Regional Police responded after three suspects armed with weapons, including an axe and a crowbar, reportedly entered a jewellery store, smashed several display cases, and stole a large quantity of items.

The apprehended suspects include an 18-year-old Toronto male, who has been charged with robbery with a weapon and possession of weapon for a dangerous purpose, and a 20-year-old male from York, who has been charged with robbery with a weapon.

Police are still investigating.
