[1]The Original Miami Beach Antique Show is returning for its 55th year.
Held next year at the Miami Beach Convention Center from Jan. 28 to Feb.1, the event showcases nearly 1000 exhibitors from 28 countries.
“The Original Miami Beach Antique Show has offered dealers unparalleled opportunities, garnering exposure to varied clientele for more than five decades,” says Dan Darby, Emerald Expositions vice-president and U.S. Antique Shows general manager. “Our focus is to always enhance the overall show experience by presenting dealers with exceptional merchandise and hosting educational programs that can be enjoyed by all.”
More than 8000 people are expected to attend the five-day show, exploring historical collections from the Renaissance to art deco eras, including fine art, American and European silver, antique jewellery, 17th- to 19th-century furniture, and porcelain. Additionally, the convention centre’s Palm Ballroom will house an array of antique, estate, and vintage pieces from highly regarded jewellery dealers.
As in previous years, attendees can take in exclusive educational opportunities that run from Jan. 26 to 27, such as the Third Annual Jewelry History Series. The conference schedule also includes discussions of jewellery from different viewpoints, tours of selected booths prior to the show opening, and a special screening of the award-winning documentary, Sharing the Rough.
In addition, Appraisal Day takes place Jan. 30 from 12 p.m. to 6 p.m. and is organized in partnership with Skinner Auctioneers & Appraisers. All attendees with a valid ticket to the show are invited to bring an item to be appraised by one of Skinner’s appraisers.Â
