Pandora taps VP as new president

Scott Burger

Pandora Jewelry has promoted its vice-president of operations and finance to serve as president for its North American division.

Scott Burger, 38, previously served under the company’s outgoing president, John A. White, who left after more than five years to join Fossil as its executive vice-president and chief operating officer (COO).

“Scott is a strong leader with proven experience in the wholesale and retail operations,” said the company’s chief executive officer (CEO) Björn Gulden.

“His work with John and the Pandora management team over the years has helped prepare him for a role such as this. I am confident Scott will prove to be a great asset to our team and he will work closely with me to continue to develop this growing market.

“[We wish] John all the best as he transitions to his new, exciting opportunity. He has done a great job of creating a high-performing leadership team at Pandora, North America, and it is with much confidence that Scott has been selected to succeed John and continue with the progress made in our largest Pandora market.”

Burger—who played a significant role in the bead company’s development of the Canadian market—reports to Gulden.
