Pantone: Fall 2016 colours rooted in “strength, confidence, and complexity”

[1]Pantone Color Institute has spoken—blues dubbed ‘Riverside’ and ‘Airy’ are leading the colour palette for the fall.
“Blue skies represent constancy, as they are always above us,” says Pantone executive director, Leatrice Eiseman. “Greys give a feeling of stability and red tones invite confidence and warmth, while the hot pinkish purples and spicy mustard yellows suggest a touch of the exotic.”
Eiseman says pops of vibrant colours and anchoring earth tones will appear in fall collections for both men and women, acting as playful, but structured departures from more typical fall shades.
The top colours for men’s and women’s fashion for fall 2016 are:
