According to the Pantone Colour Institute, tomato purée is one of the hot colours for Spring 2010.
Hot hues for spring 2010 range from vibrant colours to neutral tones as consumers look to spice things up with colour or opt for a more cautious look.

With Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week in New York a wrap for another season, the experts at the Pantone Color Institute have compiled their top-10 list of the colour essentials.

“Now more than ever, women are vigilant when it comes to spending,” said Leatrice Eiseman, executive director of the Pantone Color Institute. “Instead of reinventing their wardrobe at the start of each season, consumers want pieces to complement what they already own. Pairing a bold colour with a basic piece or freshening up their look with bright accents addresses the need for practicality, as well as fun.”

Spring 2010 takes on a vibrant hue with turquoise, Amparo blue, violet, fusion coral, and tomato purée. Tuscany brown, aurora yellow, pink champagne, dried herb, and eucalyptus are the season’s neutral tones.
