Persona ad campaign nabs marketing award

Bead company Persona grabbed platinum honours at the 2012 MarCom Awards for its BEad INSPIRED campaign.

Persona beads took home the top prize at the 2012 MarCom Awards for its BEad INSPIRED Campaign.

The annual awards competition recognizes outstanding creative achievement in marketing and communications.

“The Persona BEad INSPIRED creative expresses the style, colour, and feeling that Persona beads inspire in consumers through vivid photography and catchy headlines,” the company said in a press release. “The Platinum Award is an exciting honour for the still relatively new campaign that launched with print ads in fall and winter editions of American and Canadian fashion magazines, including Elle, Harper’s Bazaar, InStyle, and Fashion magazine, to name a few, as well as with billboard advertising in major cities.”Â 

The competition received more than 6000 entries from the United States, Canada, and beyond. Entries are judged individually and awarded a score based on quality, creativity, and resourcefulness. Scores between 70 to 79 receive an Honourable Mention, 80 to 89 receive a Gold Award, while those between 90 to100 win the Platinum Award.
