Phillips signs on with Corona Jewellery

Jon Phillips, GG, former BHP Billiton Diamonds marketing manager, is Corona Jewellery’s new divisional manager for Canadian diamonds.
Jon Phillips, GG, has taken on the newly created role of divisional manager for Canadian diamonds with Corona Jewellery Co.
 

Phillips will be based at Corona’s head office in Toronto after spending the last four years with BHP Billiton Diamonds, the last two of which were in the Antwerp office as the CanadaMarkâ„• marketing manager. Phillips has more than 30 years experience in the jewellery industry, serving in management roles at Henry Birks and Sons and his own manufacturing business in Vancouver.

“Jon’s extensive background in the Canadian jewellery industry, combined with his recent international diamond experience, made him the perfect fit for the new role as we get set to expand our Canadian Maple Leaf diamond program,” explained John Minister, president of Corona Jewellery.

Phillips also serves as the vice-president of the diamond commission for CIBJO and sits on the GIA Alumni executive council.
