Rio Tinto appoints new president of Diavik Diamond Mines

[1]Patrick Boitumelo has been appointed president and chief operating officer of Diavik Diamond Mines.

His experience includes operational, stakeholder management, corporate strategy across various mining industries such as diamonds, soda ash, salts, nickels, iron ore, and copper by-products.
“I am delighted to lead Diavik Diamond Mines and I look forward to working with the team and our business partners to deliver superior value to all our stakeholders,” says Boitumelo.

Boitumelo will relocate to Yellowknife to commence his role in July 2017.
