Sanghavi Exports brothers honoured for lifetime achievements

Brothers Vasantbhai and Chandrakant Sanghavi of Sanghavi Exports are recipients of the Indian Diamond & Colorstone Association’s (IDCA’s) Lifetime Achievement Award.

“Under [Vasantbhai Sanghavi’s] leadership and that of his brother, Chandrakant, the company has consistently been a leader in innovation and is recognized as one of the most fully integrated firms across the entire sphere of the diamond and jewellery business,” the IDCA said in a statement.

Over the years, Sanghavi Exports—a DTC sightholder—has grown to more than 10,000 employees from 15. The company has received numerous awards, including several in recognition for being India’s top exporter. Vasantbhai serves as the company’s chair, while Chandrakant is its director.

In addition to overseeing Sanghavi Exports, Chandrakant is also the chair of the Indian Diamond Institute, regional chair of the Gems and Jewelry Exports Promotion Council (GJEPC), and regional convenor of the Kimberley Process Certification Scheme.

The IDCA also honoured Fred Meyer Jewelers as Retailer of the Year and Navratan Kothari with a Pioneer Award.
