Halton Regional Police are seeking the public’s assistance with identifying a man wanted in connection to the alleged robbery of a Burlington, Ont., jewellery store. Police say the suspect entered Griffin Jewellery Designs, located in Burlington Centre Mall, and asked to see rings. While examining an engagement ring, the man informed the employee assisting him of armed individuals stationed outside the store. He left with the ring, valued at C$40,000, still in his possession.
The man behind the heist is described to be around 30 years old, more than six feet tall, and clean shaven with dark brown hair. He was wearing black clothes—a T-shirt, shoes, a jacket, and Adidas pants—and dark tinted aviator sunglasses. He also had numerous light-coloured scars on both hands.
Police advise anyone with information regarding the investigation to contact the 3 District Criminal Investigations Bureau. Anonymous tips can be submitted to Crime Stoppers by phone or online.
