SEIKO’s sole North American boutique opened its doors last month in Toronto. The store targets higher-end consumers with watches ranging from $500 to $10,000.

Toronto is home to SEIKO’s first North American boutique.

Designed to showcase the watch brand’s most exclusive designs, the store opened its doors last month at 131 Bloor Street West in the heart of Toronto’s luxury shopping district.

While the opening comes at a difficult time in light of the recession, David Cheong, president of Odyssey Time Inc., says the store “is not only for consumers, but is a marketing tool to help our retailers visualize SEIKO’s strategic brand direction and the true value of the SEIKO brand.”

The boutique offers lines new to the higher-end Canadian consumer, including models from the international Elite Collections: Premier, Arctura, Sportura, Velatura, and Ananta. Products range in price from $500 to $10,000. Exclusive Japanese domestic products, as well as collections from SEIKO’s sister brand, Pulsar, will also be on display.

Odyssey Time Inc., is the brand’s Canadian distributor.
