Stuller to sell lab-grown diamonds

Stuller is adding lab-grown diamonds to its offering.

“Lab-grown diamonds are optically, visually, and chemically identical to natural diamonds,” says Stanley Zale, vice-president of diamonds and gemstones. “We want to give jewellers every option they need to thrive; many of our customers already offer these diamonds with great success.”

Grown in the United States, the man-made stones will be accompanied by:

• a certificate from the Gem Certification and Assurance Lab (GCAL);
• a unique inscription on the girdle; and
• a distinctly labelled package.

“We do treat these stones differently than our natural inventory,” Zale says. “They are housed in a separate vault, stored and shipped in a distinct, blue acrylic box, and are always handled separately.”
