RCMP in Surrey, B.C., have arrested a suspect in connection with a series of recent jewellery store robberies that left local businesses reeling. The investigation began when officers responded to a reported break-in at a jewellery store along the city’s King George Boulevard, where a suspect had smashed glass displays and stolen jewellery valued at approximately $27,000.

Following this initial incident, detectives in the Robbery Unit linked two additional thefts to the same individual. By reviewing surveillance footage, investigators identified the suspect.

Based on this information, police executed a search warrant at a residence in Coquitlam, B.C., with support from specialized units. The search turned up crucial evidence and recovered some stolen jewellery.

The 21-year-old suspect, Myheart William, has since been charged with multiple offences, including robbery, theft, and disguise with intent. He appeared in court facing nine charges and remains in custody as the legal process unfolds.
