Sustainability organization B Lab certifies Pyrrha

Vancouver jewellery design company Pyrrha has been certified as a B Corporation, a designation awarded to those using the power of business to solve social and environmental problems.

Certified by the non-profit B Lab, B Corps. meet higher standards of social and environmental performance, accountability, and transparency.

“B Corp.’s guidelines for better business are aligned with everything we believe in,” said Pyrrha designer Wade Papin. “We believe successful business does not have to come at the expense of people or the planet.”

Pyrrha works to reduce its environmental footprint at all stages of its in-house production, and casts its jewellery from 100 per cent reclaimed precious metals.

“Becoming a B Corp. is just the beginning for us,” Papin said. “Going forward, we welcome the challenge to further reduce our environmental impact, while increasing our positive social contributions.”

More than 1000 companies are certified B Corps.
