Swarovski has acquired 100 per cent of bead company, Chamilia.

It would seem Swarovski can’t get enough of Chamilia.

Once an investor in the Minneapolis-based company, Swarovski has acquired the bead company. According to various news reports, company co-founder and head designer Killian Reider and her husband, Jeff Julkowski, appear to have no formal role.

In 2011, the two companies announced they had formed a partnership, creating and selling a collection of beads sold exclusively at Swarovski stores around the world. No details were released at the time as to how great a stake the crystal company had bought.

According to JCK Online, Chamilia will operate as an independent business.
