Taco Bell Canada unveils unique lab-grown diamonds

Mexican-inspired fast-food chain Taco Bell has entered the world of lab-grown diamonds with its most recent experiment: diamonds made from taco shells. According to the brand, the diamonds “serve as an ode to the perfectly imperfect nature of tacos.”

“The idea that even something as beautiful as diamonds have imperfections reinforces our brand mantra to Live Mas, and celebrate our authentic, messy, and beautiful selves,” says Devon Lawrence, marketing director for Taco Bell Canada.

The brand has chosen not to share the details behind the unique process, claiming the diamonds were developed at a “top-secret, undisclosed location.”

The diamonds will be available for viewing on Dec. 1 and 2, at the chain’s 1132 Queen St. W location. Visitors will be able to participate in a series of other free activities and try a variety of Taco Bell dishes before their public release.

Those who wish to wear the taco shell diamonds might be able to win a pair of matching necklaces. The contest runs until Dec. 8, and winners will be drawn on Dec. 11. More details can be found by following Taco Bell Canada on Instagram or TikTok.
