In a statement issued while the world’s number one golf remains out of sight, TAG Heuer said it would continue its relationship with Woods, but would modify his role in the coming months.
“The partnership with Tiger Woods will continue,” said Jean-Christophe Babin, president and chief executive officer (CEO) of TAG Heuer. “[However,] we will downscale the use of his image in certain markets for a period of time, depending on his decision about returning to professional golf. We will continue to actively support the Tiger Woods Foundation.”
Woods became a brand ambassador for TAG Heuer in 2002. The company said the relationship with him “has always been extremely professional and productive.”
