JCK Toronto kicks off in the Big Smoke on Aug. 7 and runs until Aug. 9.

The start of the Canadian summer trade show season is upon us and JCK Toronto is first up.

Held from Aug. 7 to 9 at the Metro Toronto Convention Centre’s north building, the show brings together more than 150 exhibitors, offering the latest to help you stock up for the busy holiday shopping season.

“JCK Toronto brings the best of the JCK Events portfolio to Toronto,” said John Tierney, the show’s event director. “We offer so many of the same business-building elements of the JCK portfolio with a customized presentation for Canada. We build the event with the Canadian marketplace—first and foremost—and there’s no better place in the provinces for suppliers and exhibitors to grow their businesses, learn from best practices, and network with their peers, customers, and prospects. We look forward to taking Toronto by storm.”

This year, educational sessions touch on topics like methods for increasing sales, responsible jewellery practices, selling coloured gemstones, and improving social media skills. Once again, Brad Huisken of IAS Training brings his sales management expertise to Toronto in his keynote presentation on Aug. 7 entitled, “The Model Store for the New Economy.”

As the first day of the show comes to a close, relax at the Opening Night Welcome Reception and catch up with old friends as the Canadian Jewellers Association (CJA) introduces its new chair and announces the recipient of the CJA Chairman’s Award.

“JCK Toronto is less than [a week] away and the members of the Canadian Jewellers Association are looking forward to the opportunity to gather,” said CJA president and chief executive officer (CEO), David Ritter. “JCK Toronto is one of the most productive ways for our members to network, share good ideas and challenges, and conduct the association’s business. I encourage all of our members to join us.”

Jewellery Business is a media partner for JCK Toronto.
