Montreal-based CrownRing has signed a deal that will see its Carlex brand sold through London Jewelers’ five locations in New York.
“We’re delighted that London Jewelers will now be carrying the Carlex line of men’s luxury designer rings,” says CrownRing president, Haimy Mann.
The Carlex line of men’s wedding bands and designer jewellery features platinum, gold, diamonds, and black and white cobalt that is billed as resistant to scratches, dents, and chipping.
“You used to find this type of coating only in the aerospace and medical industries,” said Carlex’s director of customer service, Kaitlin Foster.
London Jewelers will carry several collections from the line, including G1 and G2.
The retailer recently made headlines for designing the $2.5-million 2011 Victoria’s Secret Fantasy Bra. The stores carry numerous luxury brands, including Harry Winston, H. Stern, Bulgari, and Mont Blanc.
CrownRing took home top honours at Platinum Guild International’s (PGI’s) 2011 JCK Platinum Innovation Awards for a men’s 11-mm ring featuring 100 diamonds from the Carlex collection.
