VicenzaOro to debut Dubai show

SB_bigstock-The-Burj-KhalifVicenzaOro Dubai is set to open its doors this week, gathering the industry’s elite for the inaugural event.

Held at the Dubai World Trade Centre (DWTC), the show runs from April 23 to 26 and will feature more than 500 brands from 20 countries showcasing the latest high-end jewellery products. A four-day program of seminars, exclusive social events, and business networking meetings are also planned.

“A significant number of major international buyers with strong purchasing power have signed up for VicenzaOro Dubai, a new super show that will open a new chapter in the distribution of global jewellery,” said Corrado Facco, vice-chair of DV Global Link and managing director for Fiera di Vicenza, which is managing the event.

“We have designed and developed a unique, segmented exhibition set up to match the market positioning and product range requirements of specific buyers from more than 65 countries.”

VicenzaOro Dubai is a joint venture between Fiera di Vicenza and DWTC, which also created Dubai-based consortium, DV Global Link. The fair is being positioned as a business-to-business (B2B) jewellery platform for the Middle East, Africa, Central and southeast Asia, and Russia.

The exhibition format will divide key players of the international jewellery production industry into four, highly identifiable clusters:

• Global brands and About J;

• Fine jewellery and national pavilions;

• Gemstones and diamonds; and

• Packaging and supply.

“VicenzaOro Dubai will unite the global jewellery industry by creating a bridge between East and West, between Europe and the United Arab Emirates, and between two of the world’s leading trade event organizers and managers in DWTC and Fiera di Vicenza,” added Trixie LohMirmand, DWTC’s senior vice-president, exhibitions and events management, which is co-organizing the event.
