This year’s edition of VicenzaOro September, the Italian Exhibition Group’s (IEG’s) jewellery boutique show, brought sparkle to both Italy and the show’s many international attendees.
The five-day event, which took place Sept. 8 to 12 in Vicenza, Italy, saw a six per cent increase in total visitors, with half of all attendees coming from abroad.
Indeed, attendees from 132 nations gathered for the show, IEG reports, with European Union countries representing the most foreign visitors (52 per cent), followed by Asia and the Middle East (17 per cent), the Americas (11 per cent), Africa (four per cent), and Oceania (one per cent).
Additionally, many of the countries represented at the show—including Mozambique, Ghana, Mauritius, and Kenya—were first-time participants.
VicenzaOro September featured more than 1,200 exhibiting brands from 34 countries, along with 400 hosted buyers from 69 countries. Among the most anticipated brands were Italian designers Gismondi 1754, FOPE, Damiani, Roberto Coin, and Crivelli, while international brands included Schreiner Fine Jewellery, Yoko London, Dámaso Martinez, and Autore.
