Kitchener, Ont.’s Cadillac Fairview Park Mall faces its second armed jewellery robbery in two weeks. Police confirmed four male suspects armed with hammers had stormed the store on a weekday night. They reportedly fled the scene in a dark sedan, with a fifth individual acting as their getaway driver. One person suffered minor physical injuries as a result of the incident.

Nine days prior, a similar robbery had taken place at the mall. During the Victoria Day long weekend, four suspects robbed the jewellery store. Armed with hammers and a gun, they smashed display cases and sprayed bystanders with a noxious substance.

During the first incident, two employees sustained non-life-threatening injuries and the mall had to be evacuated for safety reasons, leading to its closure for the remainder of the day.

It remains unclear whether the two robberies are connected. However, the mall has experienced several other criminal incidents in recent months.

Anyone with information is urged to contact the police.
