In athletics, precision is everything. Every stride, every split-second decision, every moment on the track is crucial. As the Official Timekeeper of the Olympic Games since 1932, Omega knows this better than anyone. When the world’s best athletes gather in Paris for the 2024 Olympics, Omega will once again take centre stage.

Among these athletes stands sprinting champion Allyson Felix. With 11 Olympic medals under her belt, earned over five consecutive games, Felix has made her mark as both the most decorated American athlete in track and field history and the most decorated woman on the Olympic track.

With every race, Felix has proven time and again she is a force to be reckoned with. Yet, her connection to Omega runs deeper than just timing her races. Inspired by the brand’s rich heritage in athletics and their unwavering commitment to precision, she has chosen to represent Omega as a brand ambassador. For Felix, Omega is more than just a watch brand—it’s a symbol of excellence, dedication, and the relentless pursuit of perfection.

In a sport where every millisecond counts, Allyson Felix understands the importance of precision. And with Omega by her side, she’s ready to continue making history one race at a time. As she says, “Sprinting relies on precision at every moment. As athletes, we need the excellence of Omega to get it right and ensure that the closest results are recorded.”

Jewellery Business recently caught up with the Olympic athlete to find out more about her timeless style and why her partnership with Omega is a perfect fit.

Jewellery Business (JB): What attracted you to represent Omega?

Allyson Felix (AF): I’ve always been inspired by Omega’s rich heritage in athletics. The focus on precision has always been something I can relate to and I have long admired their beautiful pieces.

JB: How does your personal style influence your choice in accessories like watches?

AF: I like to build off what I choose to wear. I lean towards more timeless and effortless wardrobe pieces, and I like my accessories to be an extension and expression of that.

JB: How do you incorporate your Omega watches into your everyday wardrobe?

AF: I enjoy pairing my Omega watches with the clothing I’m wearing. Depending on my mood, I might pair a watch that has a pop of colour to stand out, or something more monochromatic that looks really seamless.

JB: Precision and timekeeping play a large role in your career, do these qualities leak into other aspects of your life?

AF: Definitely, I have been a professional athlete since I was 17 and I’m a bit of a perfectionist in most areas of my life. Like my workouts and competition, I prefer things to be structured and accurate. Since becoming a mom, I have definitely had to work on allowing more flexibility into my life.

JB: What was your first watch? Is there a story behind it?

AF: In 2004, at my first Olympic Games in Athens, I got to visit the Omega Gifting Suite. It was my first real introduction to the brand and an unreal experience. I received my first watch that I still have and cherish to this day.

JB: How many timepieces do you own and wear?

AF: I’m currently enjoying rotating between three Omega watches for everyday, work/meetings, and those more glam moments in life.
