In honour of Cindy Edelstein, the jewellery design community leader who passed away last year, and her dedication and commitment to mentorship, design, and education, the Women’s Jewelry Association (WJA) has announced both a scholarship and mentorship award in her name.
A new tool is available to help existing and prospective members of the trade find and access educational programs related to various parts of the industry. Launched by Jewelers Education Foundation (JEF), the Jewelers Education Portal is a collaboration between associations serving the jewellery, diamond, coloured stones, precious metal, and watch sectors.
JCK Events has announced the recipients of the 2013 Industry Fund. “The Industry Fund has been helping jewellery professionals and organizations achieve their goals for well over a decade and has made a substantial impact on our industry as a whole,” said JCK’s Yancy Weinrich.
Four industry organizations are the recipients of the 2011 JCK Industry Fund. Jeweler’s Security Alliance (JSA), American Gem Society (AGS), Jewelers Vigilance Committee (JVC), and the Women’s Jewelry Association (WJA) will share in the yearly grant.
